Marking the 40th Anniversary of the "Sergeant Pepper's" of all bluegrass albums, the Kentucky Colonels classic "Appalachian Swing!" with three bonus tracks is one of the most influential albums in all of bluegrass music, primarily because of the stunning guitar playing of Clarence White and the musical interplay with brother, Roland White's mandolin.

Mastered by renowned audio engineer, Steve Hoffman, and released for the first time in this audiophile edition,
the original 1964 World Pacific Records album by the Kentucky Colonels was subsequently released in the early 90's on another label, but it suffered from a number of problems both in audio quality and production. Now our joint venture friends at Rural Rhythm/S&P Records have expanded that release to include three bonus tracks featuring the instrumental performance of Clarence and Roland White along with Billy Ray Lathum on the other World Pacific album at the time, "Tut Taylor-Dobro Country".

This "new re-released" for the first has been mastered directly from the original World Pacific 3-track audio masters and you will finally hear picking like it was meant to be heard! With compact disc liner notes by Sierra Records' John Delgatto, hear Clarence White's vibrant, innovative flat-picking which helped pioneer a new style of bluegrass. The sound was revolutionary upon its release in May of 1964 and the music still sounds alive, even timeless, because of the strength of Clarence White's vision and talent.
